Academic Life

Academic life at University of New South Wales can appear overwhelming at first but upon closer inspection there are actually a series of support groups, workshops and resources available to students to assist with achieving their academic goals. UNSW want to see their students exceed because it reflects positively on its reputation and generates more students wanting to study here.

Is University work different to secondary study?

The expectations for student work varies depending on the courses but the University expects a higher level of research, critical thinking and opinion. Generally speaking secondary study is focused on assessing the ability to repeat facts in essay and extended response form.
